"I haven't been seen in your camp, I could probably get in, make friends and then help her out." Aren said seriously.

"To dangerous." Kenran said,

"I don't think so, I've done this all my life, plus what would keep them from not trusting me. I come from a strong assassin line. I can persuade them. " SHe smiled.

"I think we should give it a try," I decided, "and then we're going to need a distraction if that fails."

"I still don't think this is a good idea," Kenran protested, lowering his voice now that the camp was almost inside.

"It's the only one we have so far," I whispered. "If it fails, plan B is that I shoot a load of arrows into the camp."

"And what's that supposed to do other than kill our people?" Aren asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I'm a good archer. If I shoot fast enough, with a bit of luck they'll think there's three or four of me. Afterall, we often send a small group of archers in ahead of the main force."

"I think it's a good idea," Amanta agreed.

"You would," Kenran muttered but then he nodded. "Okay then. Their lives don't mean all that much to me. Now there's a sentry coming up on my right once we exit the forest."

"Then let's wait here where we still have some cover. Go ahead Aren. We'll give you half an hour to get as close as you can to her. Then when the distraction starts, get her out of there. Kenran will help cut a path through."

"And what am I supposed to do?" Amanta demanded.

"You'll be on stand by in case anyone gets hurt."

"Sounds good," Kenran said, but the reality was, the entire thing set his nerves frying. "But things are bound to go wrong." It always does around the Forest people, the thought, remembering their attitude towards war, but he kept that to himself. "We should establish some sort of code to say things are fine, or, more likely than not, I'm knee-deep in trouble." He stopped. then again, signaling would place them in a more risky spot.

"It would have to be very subtle and at the same time loud enough or bold enough to be seen by all of us," I mused.

"Forget I ever made the suggestion," Kenran said, suddenly looking even more uneasy.

"No, no, I think it's a good one. We usually use native bird sounds but then, this isn't the forest. Hmmm."

"Actually the birds doesn't seem like such a bad idea. We've used that before," Aren admitted.

"Fine. Sparrows and blackbirds come pretty close to the camp so sparrow for all fine and blackbird for help."

"Got it," Aren grinned and then she was gone, stalking towards the sentry as if she had every right to be there.

Kenran cursed himself and pressed himself against the tree. The tension must be taking years off his life, he decided. It was entirely crazy to be here in the first place. He waited for teh blackbird call, which he knew inevitably come. It would be a miracle if it didn't.

Half an hour passed and there was no sign of Aren so I shouldered my bow and edged around the camp. After a few steps I realised that Amanta was following me.

"No, stay with Kenran. They're going to be shooting wildly at the trees and they might just hit you if you don't move fast enough."

"And what if they hit you?" She protested.

"Then I'll signal for help. Now go on, he'll need you to get Aren and this girl out of there."

"You want me to go into the camp?"

"Yeah, I suppose I do. Be careful Amanta..." I hesitated and then embraced her briefly before melting into the forest around us. I chose my position carefully and then sighted out one of the many people bustling back and forth in the camp. I drew the string back and as the arrow sliced through his chest, another was arching towards a soldier's head and the third missed its mark by mere inches. Then I moved, slotting another arrow into place as I did so.

The enemy camp, yes. And we're trying to free Dahlia who is being held in a cell within a cave towards the centre of the camp. The plan is for Luke to create a distraction so that Amanta and Kenran can take out anyone guarding the cave, leaving the path free for Aren who is currently attempting to get the keys to Dahlia's cell. In fact, I'll post for Dahlia -

Dahlia

What was I to do? At first I tried to pace the cell, rubbing my arms vigorously to warm myself up but after two steps I had to turn and pace the other way; a constant reminder of how little space I had. The walls are smooth - how many times I've brushed against them. It's almost ironic. The very iron that runs through the veins of the mountains is what confines me and keeps me from the outer world.

When I could stand the walking no longer, I crouched in a corner, the far corner judging by the light from the door, and huddled deep within my clothes. I don't know how long I sat there, eyes shut, visualising my home, my friends, wondering how I would get out. Then the sound of metal scraping across metal - steel on iron - could be heard. I opened my eyes to see two people. One a middle aged man with ash blond hair and piercing blue eyes was holding a bunch of keys. Then his eyes went wide and the woman behind him stepped forward, wiping a bloodied dagger on the man's shirt. Her long brown hair and smooth tan suggested that she was of forest nationality but those sharp, blue eyes and her attire - her weapons, the way she stood. Certainly the sea tribe. But why? A traitor? A friend of Kenran?

I'm so sorry I haven't posted, I just can't think of what to do with Silver... Oh, I got it!

Silver
"Hey, Aren, Whatcha doen here? Arn't you a sea assassin?" Silver asked mockingly.
"What are you doing here?" Aren replied,
"Well, I was getting some hefty payments for making you guy's lives misrible from the forest people, but they pissed me off, and I don't likle that, so I have decided to help you guys now... That okay with you?"
"No! You were taking money to not help us! Thats horrible!"
"Hey, I never said it wasn't, What I did say is that it payed good, so I did it anyways. Do you want help or not, because you don't have the right keys." Silver said while dangleing a pair of bronze keys from his finger.
"Unlock the cell and get her out of there, now."
"Okay, don't get frusturated" he slowly unlocked the cell and opened the door,
"After you, fair lady" he said so sweetly it was grotesque as Dahlia walked out.
Dahlia glared at him.

*Maybe this can help a little*
Aren didn’t say a word until they were out of the camp and a safe distance away.

“Who are you?” Dahlia asked, stopping and looking at Aren.

“A friend of Kenran’s, we need to keep moving.” Aren replied as she kept walking. Silver suddenly slipped out from behind a tree and stood in front of her. “Oh if it isn’t little mister disappear. What do you want?”

Yeah, that works, good thinking TN.

Luke

It wasn't long before the sea assassins began returning fire on me and many were hurrying towards the forest, swords and daggers raised as well as the occasional spear if it had not already been launched at the trees. I fired another arrow, taking down the closest and then the next three before ducking and weaving towards a new position. From there I took out two more and was able to pause and catch my breath - they had stopped coming. A group of them were stood just out of range, scouring the forest with their eyes. I watched them warily, being careful not to move.

Then I realised how foolish I had been. While standing there, distracted, I had allowed two or three of the sea assassins to creep along the outskirts, edging closer and closer towards my position while others had hurried back to camp and returned with long bows and cross bows that presumably had a longer range than my own. I had to move again. Before they got close enough to shoot. And so I did. I ducked and I weaved and I pulled myself deeper into the thicket of trees but an assortment of weapons were launched into the air and a spear head struck me hard in the leg and I stumbled, making enough noise for even them to divulge my location.

The three edging closer, armed to the teeth spotted me and I decided the only remaining option was to run. I set off and as I did so, I shouldered my bow and brought my hands to my mouth and made the call of the blackbird.
