**Dude, who's your character? Do a profile please.***

Amanta walked by carrying a bucket of water when she saw the warriors returning. She dropped the bucket, picked up her skirtsand ran to meet them.

"Luke!" she cried joyously when she saw him and waved her arm breifly before gripping the bucket again. When he reached her he dismounted.

"Anything interesting happen while I was gone?"

Amanta shrugged, "not really, aside from a group of mountian fighters riding through, nothing happened."

"Mountian fighters? Did they ride through camp or just around?"

"They rode around, they were either ignorant of our position or didn't care."

Luke sighed in relief, which is when Amanta noticed the cut on his arm.

"What happened?" she said taking hold of his arm and looking at the cut.
I just lost the game.

It's near the middle of the first page, Alice =)

Luke

"Nothing much," I replied as someone came to take our horses to the stable.

"Nothing much?" Elise exclaimed, widening her eyes. "How can you be so modest Luke?"

"Yeah, that was so brave of you," Cathy gushed before both of them fell into fits of giggles and hurried on their way, talking in low, exaggerated tones as they left us.

"What happened?" Amanta repeated.

"Want to hear the full story?" Jamie asked with a sly grin.

"Not from you she doesn't," I mumbled but Amanta was already nodding her head enthusiastically as she inspected the wound.

"Well you see, Gavin was in a tight spot. He suffered a deep cut to his sword arm and a shallower one to the chest. Then, just as the Desert man was going to strike him down, Luke charged down the hill and countered the stroke with..." Jamie paused for dramatic effect before finishing in a serious, heavy tone. "...His Bow." Amanta stared at me in surprise and then began to laugh gently.

"He'd have killed one of us if I paused to take my sword from my scabbard," I objected.

"Wait but that's not the best part," Jamie went on. "Caught by surprise, the desert man faltered, his sword sweeping to the side and slicing only Luke's arm and Luke took his chance and stabbed him with..." Again the pause for dramatic effect. "An Arrow!"

"Well it worked didn't it?" I mumbled. "And I used my sword after that."

*Piepie, of course you can join!*

Kenran climbed up the steep mountain path, trying his very best to not make any noise. He had gotten rather good at it, but even so, a loose rock slipped and tumbled down the hill every now and then.

When he got to the camp, he carefully skrited the sentries and started towards teh healer's tent, but when he saw that someone else was in the tne with Dahila, He hid up a tree and waited.

Dahlia

It seemed to take an eternity for the man to leave and then, before I had even sat down, a hand brushed aside the tent flap and yet another person stepped inside. Preparing to grit my teeth and forcing a snarl away, I waited for the visitor to step into the light but when he did, all anger and frustration melted away and I hurried towards him.

"Kenran," I hissed, throwing my arms around him. "I'm so glad you came. Come sit down."

"Hi Dahlia," Kenran greeted me with a pleasant smile as I hurried to find some cups and pour the tea.

"Any trouble with the sentries?" I asked.

"Not today," He replied. "Who was that man?"

"Hmm? Oh, the soldier. He wanted some minor wounds healing and didn't want to bother the healer on duty. That's the story he gave me anyway."

Kenran raised an eyebrow. "Not bother the one on duty, yet he bothers the one off duty?" He shook his head. "Pleasant."

They sat in silence for a while, and finally Kenran said, "If I didn't have trouble with the sentries, less-friendly people won't either, you realize that?"

Dahlia

"I know," I sighed. "But most of the men at this camp are badly wounded and those who aren't are supposed to be here to rest before the next battle. We're sort of counting on the fact that you're the only person who knows that this camp is here..."

"But what if our scouts discover your position? They found the main camp easily enough and things aren't exactly settled between our people," Kenran accepted the cup of tea and I sat across from him with mine.

"At least it isn't open war," I pointed out.

"True but it isn't far off," Kenran sighed and stared into the depths of his tea cup before shaking his head roughly and looking up at me, a smile tugging the corners of his mouth upwards. "I didn't come to talk about the war though. If I'd wanted that sort of talk, I'd have stayed with the soldiers." I laughed lightly and smiled back.

"Let me take a look at you first and then we'll avoid the subject altogether," I agreed before taking his hand in mine. Dealving into his body I found a few half healed cuts and helped them on their way until I could feel the new skin growing and strengthening. The Sea people's healers did a reasonable job but there was only so far you could go without magic.

"You should have left some bruising," Kenran objected. "They're starting to get suspicious and the line 'I'm a fast healer' doesn't work so well the fourth and fifth times."

"Nonsense," I replied. "I'll not have you suffering."

Amanta sighed, "I would have loved to have been there."

"You know we cannot risk a nurse, you're too valueable."

Amanta rolled her eyes and leaned closer to the cut, "I think we'll have to cauterize this." She fought to hide the vindictive tone in her voice. She wasn't angry at him just...everyone who wouldn't let her fight. Why was she so different than the other women fighting?

She murmered an explitive and led Luke to her nurses station. "Unless you want your shirt to catch fire I suggest you take it off."
I just lost the game.

"It's not like it was unbearable," kenran said with a smile. "YOu can't exactly call that suffering. BUt thanks, anyway. I'll think of something else to tell them." He set down his cup and stood up, smiling at her. "I'd better get going, or people will wonder where I am. It's great to be able to talk to you."

*TN- you could get an assignment from the general, or find that i'm missing and go look for me, or you can have a friend elsewhere like me and visit them, or freak some people out to demonstrate your mad assassin skills...or your character can just be bored and wander out of camp for something to entertain her....does that help?*

**Yea, thanks**

Aren slowly moved around the camp unseen, she was looking for Kenran, and it was pretty easy to keep in the shadows and out of site. SHe saw him walk back in the camp and she smiled. He walked into a tent and she followed ever so quietly. There wasn't anyone else in the room.

"Kenran, its nice to see you again." She smiled standing at the edge of the tent. His head shot up and he frowned.

"Why do you always have to do that?" He demaned a small smile creaping on his face.

"I like knowing where others are before they know where I am." She replied,

"What brings you out here?" He asked,

"I got board out at sea, nothin is happin any more. So, I'm gonna see if anyone around here needs an assassian, so I thought I'd stop by and say hello to you."

Luke

I pulled my shirt over my head and Amanta instructed me to sit on a low chair. I obeyed and tried not to wince as she pressed a hot, cauterising iron to my tender skin.

"Still mad because you can't fight?" I asked as she pressed firmer.

"No," She replied with a frown of concentration. "The bleeding wont stop..."

"Is that a bad thing?"

"It might mean you have blood poisoning."

"Well could you at least stop burning my arm if it's not helping?" The pain was getting close to unbearable and I sighed in relief when she finally removed the metalic object.

"Sorry. Come on, I need a closer look."

Amanta scooted even closer to him and looked deep within his burned arm. "You do have blood poisioning," she said, and pushed away quickly. "A very severe condition too, if I don't act soon you'll die."

It took her twenty minutes to make the medicine, "this is going to sting, a lot."

"You just burned my arm for five straight minutes, I think I can handle some stinging."

Amanta rolled her eyes, "alright." She poured the liquid over the wound and Luke cried out. Even when the liquid finished flowing the burn continued. "here," she said as she handed him a piece of leather, "bite down on this."

Another five minutes later the pain stopped. "Wow Amanta, thats some powerful stuff."

"I know, I told you it was going to sting, but. I'm not done yet."

"What do you mean?"

"I have to cauterize it again."
I just lost the game.

Delita sat atop the castle staring at the moon. "Nothing ever happens around here."

"Sir?"

Delita turned around to see a young boy standinthere, "What is it?"

"The Queen wishes to see you."

"Well I don't want to see her. so leave me be."

The kid took a step back, but swollowed down his fear, "She has a new mission for you."

Delita got up and patted the boy on the head, "Courage is a good thing to have, don't forget it." He walked off toward the throne room.
