So I imagine she's, around this time, joining search parties for him and having that feeling of just really not knowing where he is and whether or not he's dead, etc.
Obviously there's also stress that is present in Pinguini's latest poem: of people in the place where life is still going on as usual asking her about the tragedy that they can't understand -- did you know him well? etc.
So a basic timeline to work through that could use smaller steps in between -- searching -- giving up hope -- moving on -- discovering the body (not her personally) -- suspecting foul play etc. -- realizing eventually it was his own darn fault
