I am the workingman, the inventor, the maker of the world's food and clothes. I am the audience that witnesses history. - Carl Sandburg, I am the People, the Mob
Personality: Intelligent and proud, she is less than impressed with the Princess she serves. Ria went through years of training so that she could obtain her current role of royal babysitter. It's no comfort for her to see that the Princess is so completely vacuous.
They do have one thing in common, they both admire the handsome prince. Or at least, Ria did before he turned into a complete player. Now she's stuck in a castle with a stupid prince and princess, who, as far as she's concerned, deserve one another.
Flaws/Weaknesses: Her proud and envious nature are more than sufficient weaknesses.
Power/s: She has a photographic memory and an eye for detail.
History: Ria went to the Academy for Young Ladies, a nice place where girls learn how to become ladies. She did very well there, finishing with high marks. She was offered a position as a handmaiden of Princess Alice. At the time, it seemed like a good idea.
Before she was allowed to take the position, she received bodyguard training from General Beilschmidt. He later explained that, because the Princess didn't take such matters seriously, he needed to have someone close to the Princess to protect her. She does wield a knife, but it is kept hidden from sight. She is also good at fencing.
Ria isn't very good at hiding her disapproval, which hasn't quite endeared her with the Princess. Ria believes that Alice has tried to sack her once, but General Beilschmidt prevented that. Instead, the Princess gives her tasks that guarantee that she'll be out of the way. Princess Alice likes to send her on errands into the more dangerous sections of the city, perhaps in the hope that she would meet a terrible end in a back alley somewhere.
Up For Love? Yes.
Other: I think that if Cillian and Ria were to become romantically involved, then it would create an interesting conflict. Does Cillian go back to the throne and Alice? Or does he embrace anonymity and Ria?
That's totally fine by me, Loth! If you ever want to jump back in, just ask!
Oh, and welcome aboard, Griff! Feel free to start posting!
Edit: Also, please note that the Princess arrived by land, not by sea/ship. And that she has been in Angoria, and specifically the palace in Tálamon, for at least six months, guys.
