@herbalhour there sure is!! The magic is yours to create ^^ like with backstories, magic systems do not need to be thoroughly explained, just as long as there is sufficient weakness to the strength.
Honestly, I don't really have a good answer to that XD -- I mentioned this to Vento but my thought process on this is: the stronger the strengths of the character, the larger the weakness. So your character can be SUPER powerful, but with incredible weaknesses to balance it out. Or, your character can be all around pretty good, not really super strong in any area, but no huge weaknesses.

Name: Gear Age: 17 Pronouns: He/him
Appearance: Lighthearted, but noticeably battle-scarred expression. He has fluffy brown hair, and is decently tall. His arms and legs are completely mechanical. Personality: Simple-minded, but determined. Easily riled up but also difficult to scare. Brief History: He was born on a planet called Veratheim, in a terrible city called Murkaw, where lowlifes and pathetic gamblers gathered to bet on the ultimate event at Murkaw Track simply known as the races. Every day a new ragtag bunch of racers line up and run. Hundreds upon thousands of people place their bets and there are very few rules. Many racers often perish during the races, and no one cares. But Gear's dream is to win it.
Fighting Style: He fights by increasing his speed until his opponent can no longer keep up. Thanks to his enchanted mechanical legs, he can accelerate until he's unstoppable. Not only that, his arms increase in speed and power proportionately. If the fight lasts too long, it's almost a definitive victory for Gear. Weapon: None. He uses his fists and feet. Abilities: Enchanted mechanical limbs that can accelerate almost infinitely.
Strengths: His limbs don't get tired, unlike human limbs, which means he can run for as long as he wants and punch at full power indefinitely. If his opponent can't defeat him in the first few moments of the fight, his accelerating speed often gets too overwhelming and he can win the battle easily. Weaknesses: Like stated earlier, his battle prowess depends on the length of the battle. If the opponent can close the distance quickly and get a few hits in before Gear can get his speed up, he can be easily defeated. An environment you struggle in: Any environment with tons of objects that can hinder his movement, or anything else that could slow him down. He is very agile, of course, but he can't accelerate in closed spaces. An environment you excel in: A big open field. He can essentially run circles around his enemies and once he's at an unbeatable speed, he goes in for the kill.
Other: His mechanical limbs were originally unable to run. They were designed to walk, and only walk. They were enchanted so that he can run, and run very well.
This sounds interesting ... I'm not sure if I'll have enough time to do it, but I'd love to give it a try!
