My first time driving involved my driving around my neighborhood, being deathly afraid of anything in the road that looked even remotely hazardous. Like a pebble.
I'm still fairly cautious with my driving, but now I can actually drive the speed limit instead of five miles under it.
But believe me, there are plenty of idiots on the road that are over 18. Like the people who think going 50 in a 30 zone is a good idea. Or the people swerving all over the place due to texting.
Lucky for me I have a Mario Kart playlist I listen to on the road that heightens my reaction time.

If I need fast reflexes or intense concentration for games, I also listen to fast-paced music. The best ones for me are "The Forest River" and :Out of the Frying Pan" by Howard Shore.

Also, I use the metric system, so I assume a 30 zone is equivalent to our 60 zones.

If a 30 zone refers to miles per hour, and the metric system uses kilometers, 30 miles per hour is about 48 kilometers per hour.

Whoa, you people drive slowly. 30 mph = 48 km/h. 60 km/h = 37 mph. 50 mph is still fast though, since driving 80 in a 60 zone is bad. We allow for up to 10 km/h above the limit.

EDIT: Fox beat me to the punch. XD

Thanks; I try to be timely when I can. :P

And nobody said driving a 50 in a 30 zone is particularly legal. XD

Of course, that doesn't consider that many components of the interstate system have speed limits that are 50 miles per hour (80 kilometers per hour), 60 miles per hour (about 96.5 kilometers per hour), and sometimes close to 65 miles per hour (104.6 kilometers per hour). So Americans don't always drive slow. :P

You people amuse me. In residential areas, the limit is 60 (37). Outside cities, it's 80 (49). On the interstates, it's 120 (74). XD

Oh, I forgot to mention that some interstates have speed limits that can reach 70 miles per hour (112.6), 75 miles per hour (120.7), and, in some rare cases, 80 (128.75).

what, me competing? nooooo

And let's face it, all those are just sort of suggestions. People go WAY over those all the time. But not me. I'm a defensive driver.

"Who goes there?" *unsheathes Honedge and inspects shadows; shrugs* "I'm not bothered." [If anybody gets that reference, I shall give you a virtual bearhug.]

I suppose I can start working on my post so long, but it will have to wait until next weekend before I submit it, since I have to work on a Computer Skills tutorial and write my Scientific Communication Skills assignment.

Ah, speaking of posts, I'm sorry I haven't written the second day introduction post yet, everybody. I've been pushing it off (because I usually get nervous about how well I can write it) or found myself far too busy to write it. I'd like to see if I can't write it over the week, @AstralHunter, as I have a lot of spare time by which to do so and, by the way, you still have a newsletter to focus on so I can begin to work on it. I'm sorry for the delays I've already caused, though I should be able to handle my gradually increasing schoolwork and my ability to write. With luck, I'll have it finished by the weekend, and when summer break rolls around beginning on May 27th, I'll have tons more spare time to devote to writing.

Let's just hope I don't drive myself crazy in the process. :P

Hmm? *looks up* Do you mean the "drive myself crazy" part? Well spotted.
