I DIDN'T KNOW TORTWAG HAD BEEN SO BAD OFF FOLLOWING HIS SURGERY! I WAS GONE TOO LONG! D:
Someone, I need answers! Where is he? How's he doing? Is he going to be ok? What's the average cost for a plain ticket to France?

I REFUSE TO LOSE MY SECOND BEST FRIEND ON THIS WEBSITE!

He had it rather rough at first, @Robusto, but once he and his mother discovered that he was supposed to receive two painkillers, not just one, and that his medication was incorrect (it even contained normal table salt!), he started improving more quickly. Hopefully he'll be better by the end of the month. The hallucinations he's been having were... severe. He also can't move or concentrate too long, lest he become dizzy, so he rests a lot. It's for the better that he just take it easy and recuperate.

@AstralHunter Yes, it's the badass nurse that discovered the salt in my medication, Mom's badass moment was when she verbally took down the doctor who didn't want me to take the painkillers I should've, as you mentioned.
...WHO BY THE WAY FORCED ME, HER AND STEPDAD TO COME TO HIS PLACE BECAUSE HE DIDN'T BELIEVE MY PAIN AND WANTED TO FIRE THE NURSE, THEN HE CHARGED US 60 EUROS FOR NO REASON AND I GOT EVEN MORE PAIN AND DIZZINESS THAT DAY, AAAAAAAARRRRRRRGH- Ahem. Sorry.
As for that salt, it's worse that that: it's basically the salt you find in the sea. That... That s*♫! is intense.

Thanks for summing things up though, I'll, uh, PM Robusto about stuff later today. @Robusto Or you can come over IM if you can. I'd be too dizzy/tired if I was standing, but now I can write on my bed without much pain, so we can chat.

@Tortwag, table salt is the salt you find in the ocean! XD Why do you think people could collect table salt by flooding an area with sea water and then letting the water evaporate?

The reason I specified "table salt" is because you were referring to sodium chloride; the term "salt" technically refers to any positive metal ion bonded with a negative non-metal ion. Saltpetre, which is primarily used in manufacturing gunpowder and fertiliser, is also known as potassium nitrate, making it a salt too. (Don't correct someone who's studying biology and chemistry. :P)

@AstralHunter: Umm, you know there are salt mines, too, which contain the crystallized form of table salt?

Of course, @TheSilverFox. In fact, besides the evaporation of seawater and mining rock salt, the salt can also be produced by evaporating brine from salt wells or lakes. I refrained from mentioning the two other two production methods because they aren't directly related to explaining the salinity of the ocean. The topic is also more related to geography, rather than chemistry, so I don't want to go into too much detail, lest I say something that isn't correct.

@AstralHunter Youuuuuuuuuuuuuuu shall excuse my ignorance of salt and slap it.
There's been too much salt hate in me to talk clearly right now, lol. Also, the more you know.

The hate of salt is justified. It's essential to life, but nothing in excess is good. (I think. Philosophy isn't my forte. XD)

agreed, it's justifiable and understandable, especially as salt can do some strange things to your body in excess (but I don't know too much because I focus more on neurons and the effects of neurotoxins. Potassium chloride, for instance, is another salt that can serve as a lethal injection drug. The more you wish you never knew. :P), as is the case here.

@AstralHunter... My back's wounded muscles and tissues would like to slap your philosophy for a sec, lol.

@Robusto I believe it is common knowledge that if you put salt on wounds, it's basically the same effect as rubbing a knife inside of it. (maybe i'm wrong and it's not as common as I thought).
The point is don't pour salt in a recently surgically opened wound, darn it...

@StupidSoup Diabetes would like to have a word with you XD
