I think I like Kanto because I've been watching and rewatching it since I was like two.

Not that I can blame you, since 1: it was legitimately fun to watch, 2: we're all too darn sensitive as children to NOT enjoy something good when we see it, lol. Ah, and 3: Team Rocket XD But really, Sinnoh was great, Ash deserved to win that League after the Infernape thing.
...Until a random trainer showed up with Latios and Darkrai in his team and unfairly overkilled everything, that is.

I watched them on DVDs, so I never really watched the end of series except Kanto. But yeah, Sinnoh really was the peak of the series. More like the cliff before it drops off.

Watched all on TV, since they aired up until the most recent episodes we get. Though nowadays I just use my computer to catch up with episodes.
It's a shame that you didn't get to watch the ending arcs though, because these are actually the most anticipated parts. It's where Ash confronts all the trainers he met along the way, and fights with ALL of his pokemons from previous adventures, which he mixes with his current ones. Really fun stuff.

Well I wouldn't say that. Unova destroyed quite a few things, but X&Y is being animted by the same team that animated Origins. Which by the way is the main reason people praise it so much. Also, the recent movies were also pretty darn good, with a personal soft spot for the Hoopa one.

If we're talking Poke-Adaptions then it'd be a sin not to mention the Fantastic manga: Pokemon Adeventure (Or Pokemon Special depending on translation). Which, out of all adaptions, I'd say is closest to the average Pokebook tone.

It's completely seperate from the Anime, and each game got their own run/adaptation, including the Special Editions and Remakes, and for the most part each of them is fantastic. (Can only speak to the ones before Gen 4, it was too much of a pain to find translations for them back when I was reading it)

The Hoenn adaptation is pretty self contained (until Emerald), so if it seems more relevant you can easily skip to it. Still, Kanto and Johto are good reads, and their plots are far more tied together. (a bit hard not to be when you're neighbors.)

In that case, this may turn out to be the best Pokébook I've stalked. (Otherwise I'm just too biased.)

@Bloo Ah, gosh, don't even mention that piece of amazingness, I really can't wait to read all of the Adventures manga. I've collected quite a bit of their translations, though a lot of the complete ones are in Portuguese. Not a problem for me, but it's a shame I can't share this with everyone.
