Sorry for ducking out of the collab early, my wifi was not cooperating! I'm gonna try to get a short post written up tonight! (nothing too plot progressing, tho. gotta scheme together)
i loved it! Im heading to bed rn but ill get a post out tmrw morning and then ill try my best to be in the pad at noon!!
also sound i was looking at the pad and yes i did say sommer's daughter (rosemary??) did live a couple roads behind dr. Sommer, so it wouldn't really be the best place to hide but what if he had other children they could hide with? Like a son lives a whiles away and they go there with the suppies and rosemary just happens to be there or idk im just rambling lol.

maybe sommers calls up his son and also calls up rosemary to come because he needs rose to help him build the time machine? that could work! maybe she knows stuff >:)
But how would they get the engine, then?? Maybe mr. sommer jr. takes pity on them and lets them use the engine for their car as long as sommers, rosemary, and adeline and whoevers near them puts it back it.
Hmmm if the time machine won't destroy the engine, maybe they could just plug into it (like... idk ... spark plugs) instead of taking it out! So the son's car could be an option?
random idea i had in bed instead of being asleep: sommer’s son served in WW2 but got sent back (early) because he lost a leg(s?) in the war. he lives on a farm now with wide open spaces because he can roll around on the dirt roads in his wheelchair
since i assume his son would be around drafing age, it’d give a reason for him to be hone without making him disqualified from the draft in the first place?
uH actually i was thinking maybe it would be better if i posted after we collab? just so we can all write the scene where they're panicing and thinking of where to go and then ending up going to mr. sommer jr's farm.
also i loved your idea, sound, with junior missing a leg in ww2, but maybe it would make more sense if he was injured in ww1 because if he lost his leg in 1917 when he was 18, he'd be 44 in 1943 and i think it would make more sense for a 44 year old to own a farm than a 18-20something year old.
ok sorry for triple posting but i am a very very very very big idiot and thought the second time was right now and not midnight so uhhh.. is anyone free to collab within the next couple of hours?
