I was blinded, then suddenly I could see
But couldn't comprehend
So I hid my mind far from reach
But now I rear my head
Ready to move on
Glass shards from broken mirrors cut my feet
New mazes of mirrors blind my path
And I write on the blank pages of my skin
I wonder where next I will turn?
Where next I will fall?
When will I awake?

Desert winds

walking, on and on in the desert
I keep working, walking on
and yet in the barren land, I cannot tell how far I have gone
I cannot see how much further I have to go
All I see are the wind blown footprints
I am tired, I wish to fall
and yet the only thing keeping me alive
are the stones I carry on my back
I add more each day
even when I am broken and on the ground, I take up your stones
when will I find the oasis?
or will I finally fall?

Wishes heaven never heard

why do I mourn something I never had
the memories that aren't how I remember them
dreams that were never finished
tears that never fell
lies only my heart felt
smiles I never really saw
hands only my soul held
I thought you loved me
but I can't remember why

Quillfeather you poems are so beautiful i a specially liked the last one, it's simple but it captivates the thought's of a type of dream for something that we want that might never come true, it's like wishful thinking for something because that's how far away it seems now, I don't know if that's what you where trying to bring across with it but i guess that's what type of feeling it gave me.
i really enjoyed your first two poems i'm looking forward to see more of what you write this month

Mask of tears
noise piercing the silent night
cries that now seemed like a mask
for all the memories that you wanted to suppress
all your mistakes you wanted to be washed clean from
so you washed in my tears
your tears dried long ago
but I am still drowning
but only when the darkness of your vision isn't upon my shoulders
and only your lingering hate rests itself upon my young body turned old too fast
I saw them shake their heads like I could never understand
and yet I am left behind to understand on my own
I take up your weights as well as my own
my mask is made of fake smiles
my mask is the work I burden myself with
my tears are the real me
and you don't deserve to know the real me

the nature of your love

Sticks and stones feel softer then your love for me
While your hate feels like the dirt over my coffin
Six feet deep

Buried alive, feeling more dead
While trees of your pride thrive over my soil
watered by my tears

I can't breathe in the deep blue ocean
but I wonder if I really want to
And yet I keep swimming for something

Your disappointed eyes as I sink in the sea of your expectations
I wouldn't want to drown and let you down again

I keep looking for somone to need me
Wishing for somone to want me
hoping for somone to hold me
living for somone to love me
waiting for somone to see me

I am

Wanting you
needing you
wishing i could hold you
loving you
seeing you

you are
blind~

we are

a million worlds apart
orbiting the same sun

we are
in the empty darkness
shining the same light

we are
Deaf, dumb, and blind
seeing the same world
hearing the same words
walking the same road

But I am
Alone

Feeling so close to death
And yet a thrill
Like flying
More like falling
I have no control
Tears fill my face
But they come without emotion
I wouldn't have survived
If you weren't holding my hand
