These 9 remaining days will be filled with research. I always wanted to read some more poetry but never had the motivation

birds gurgling their trills;
further away, the old oaks
still support these antics

“hush little birds!” the child said angrily
they must be fed up with you”.
“now, now, her mother scolded softly,
don't bother the ancient chorus”

let’s have a hot shower!
outside, in the summer air
listening to the hushed voices
of all kinds of critters.

let’s watch the tadpoles
grow into frogs, then back in tadpoles. this eternity is hidden
by the sun-shining mirror.

late is summer
late was winter; although
it wasn’t supposed to be

do you hear them calling? clouds have
covered it all, yet,
they shout, buried as they are

mocking
lost wallets- my identity
drains quickly

once, hopefully,
i won’t be late.
