(I took my cats to work today and my 50-some-year-old-makes-six-figures-grown-man-boss instantly sat down on the ground and started pst pst pst-ing and it was the most wholesome thing ever lol)

"How long have you been together?" Ki'nuu asked, minding her fingers.

(Awww)

"Pollywog came to me about four months back," she replied. "There's one who's newer--Tarragon. She'll probably be off in the woods somewhere."

(The cats were absolute menaces last night and are now on the shit list xD)

“Adorable.” Ki’nuu decided not to push her luck and stood up, glancing around again. “I love cats.”

(Ohoho man)

"Then you'll get along here just fine." Tove scooped up the empty baking tray and set it on another counter full of dirty dishes.
"Having a spat with the brownies, are you?" Stellan asked from the sofa, eyeing the dishes.
"The commune's having an internal conflict, more like," Tove replied. "Something about new management. Nib wasn't specific."

(They’ve been forgiven lol Thursday night leading into Friday they decided to fight until 1:30 am resulting in me only getting four hours of sleep and waking up cranky lol but they’ve made up for it in snuggles now lol)

Ki’nuu glanced towards her, but didn’t comment. Instead she moved towards one of the other cats and offered her hand to it.

(That sounds like a nightmare. But cuddly cats are always worth it!)

This cat narrowed its eyes at her, arching its neck backward.

"Aw, grouch, are we?" Ki'nuu tsked but smiled.

(haha yeah I was pretty annoyed ngl xD I'm also lowkey a little scared currently. Earlier I bashed the fuck out of my toe while trying to move a table. Like, I'm 99% sure I'm going to end up losing the entire toenail. It bled a ton and it still hurts like fuck. And every time the cats get even remotely near it I am terrified xD)

"That's Pip." Tove glanced over at the cat. "Definitely don't tussle with him.
"Well, maybe they'll finally move out," Stellan went on. "It's about damn time!"
"I don't mind them so much any more." Tove shrugged. "Now that we've figured out a better system than just putting everything where it first was."
"I'm shocked you trained them at all."

“Cats are delightful,” Ki’nuu asserted, giving him some space.

"They are," Tove agreed. "Most of the time."

“True,” Ki’nuu chuckled. “Definitely can get into moods on occasion.”

"Much like fae," Stellan noted, petting the one beside him.

“Do you ever get out of your moods?” She asked dryly, giving him the side eye.

"Out of one and into another!" he said with a cheeky grin and a wink. "There's no telling what I'll do next."

“Hmph.” She folded her legs cross-cross and sank down on the ground by one of the chairs, hoping a cat would wander over to her.
