Patton crept towards their meeting spot, biting his lip in worry, when he stopped, hearing muffled cries in the alley he was passing. He turned and... he rushed forward.

Janus poked his teary little eyes up at Patton. “P-Patt-“ He let out a shaky sob. He just wanted his Patton here with him, and for this pain and bleeding to stop.

Patton whispered, “you’ll be okay, hey, hey, it’ll be okay”, desperately trying to stay calm and reassure him.

Janus whimpered, latching onto Patton needily. “I-It hurts, Patt- it h-hurts-“

Patton tried not to cry. “I know, I know it does, I’m so sorry.”

Janus let out a shaky sob. He definitely needed some care, both physical and emotional.

Patton bit his lip to stop it from trembling. He had no idea what he could do. “How do I—how can I help you?”

Janus sniffled, shrugging and trying to hold in the blood. He probably needed to be taken home so all that blood could get patched up.

“I’m... I’m so sorry,” Patton whispered. “But we need to get you home. Maybe... maybe one of the others could help?”

Janus nodded and shapeshifted into a snake. He coiled around Patton’s arm, kind of wanting to be carried right now.

Patton let him wrap around his shoulders and loosely around his neck. “I got you...” he whispered, and began to unsteadily make his way back to the others.

‘I got you’. In that soothing tone, it helped Janus calm down slightly. They reached home.

Emile was just sorting through some stuff. He glanced up at Patton and Janus, and smiled, not noticing the injury. “Hey, welcome back, you two!”

Patton’s lip trembled, and he began to cry again.

Emile’s eyes widened and softened. “Patt..? Hey, it’s okay, what happened..?” He walked closer to the pair, and gasped when he saw Janus bleeding. “Oh no... you poor thing...” He trembled. “REMY! Get the first aid kit!!”

“I—I couldn’t do anything,” Patton sobbed.

Remy rushed in with the first aid kit.
