Patron looked up. “What?” He asked quietly.

"I heard something..." Janus carefully grabbed his cane, which he'd kept even after all this time. "...Stay safe for me, okay?"

Patton bit his lip but nodded. “Okay.” His voice trembled a little.

Janus crept out to take care of it.

Emile heard something. He froze.

Remy glanced at him. “What?” He whispered.

“...W-We’re not the only ones here...” Emile trembled a bit. Then, Remy got yanked away by the neck by Janus’s cane. Emile gasped. “Rem-!!!”

Remy choked, then looked at what was pulling him. "Wait. Janus!?"

Janus growled for a moment, before his eyes widened. He removed the cane. "...Remy..."

Patton heard Janus talking and nervously stood up. What if he needed help?

Remy shook his head. “I cannot believe you are alive.”

“M-Me neither..!” Janus slowly smiled.

Emile charged over with his bat. “Get your hands of-“ He froze. “J-Janus-?!”

Janus gasped. “Emile too??”

Patton pushed his glasses up his nose and bit his lip. He’s afraid to go nearer but he needed to help Janus. He stood and grabbed a discarded piece of wood, holding it up with trembling arms to near the door.

Emile heard someone leave a room, and gasped when he saw him. "Patton??"

Patton jumped at the sound of his name, and dropped the board. He was too scared to look. “Please don’t hurt me,” he trembled.

“...Patt... it’s us! Emile! And Remy!”

Patton blinked, not quite sure what he just heard. "Wh... what?" He looked up and gasped. "Kiddos!" He felt a few tears start running down his cheeks and he rubbed them away with his hands.
