“What? Oh no, no, it’s free for all students and staff. And I think you can pull off your teacher impersonation if you say your wings are your whimsy…” Will pulled open the clear door to the building and waved to the receptionist. “Excuse me! He’s got a broken arm.”
The receptionist looked up at Hev, their eyes widening. “Oh. I’ve never quite seen a whimsy like that before.”
Hev hummed. “I have.”
The receptionist gestured to a cluster of chairs. “Please, have a seat.”

Hev tapped Will on the shoulder with his uninjured hand. “It’s alright. I can wait.” He say down peacefully, gesturing for Will to join him.
The receptionist nodded and walked to the back.

"Y-you sure...?" Will glanced at Hev, then started pacing back and forth nervously until he accidentally bumped into a potted plant and nearly knocked it over. After righting it again, he quickly took a seat next to Hev.
A few moments later, the receptionist came back. "The doctor will see you now."
Hev stood up again and let the receptionist lead him to the back.
“Doctor Farris, this is-“
“Professor Lee.” Hev did a small bow, careful not to jostle his arm.

A person with large round glasses looked up from a desk. “Ah, a professor!” His gaze shifted to Hev’s arm. “With a broken arm, I see. Come, come, let’s see if we can take a look at that.” The doctor bustled off to the back of the room, gesturing for them to follow.
Hev followed the doctor, his neutrality stiffening. Doctors weren’t exactly known for properly dealing with alis injuries due to a few anatomical differences in his country. But here in America, they didn’t seem to know what alis were, which was worrying to say the least.
“So, Doctor. What is your speciality?” Hev had memories of asking many doctors the same thing before things… went wrong, so to say. It was a fairly easy way to ask them if they knew how to operate on nonhumans. Hopefully, this doctor would surprise him.

"Ah, I suppose you mean my whimsy? It's taking on my patients' pain. So I can alleviate the pain in your arm for a while, as well as the bruises on you. But I'm afraid I do need my arm to work, so perhaps I can take around twenty percent of the pain at maximum..." The doctor assembled a couple of supplies on a counter.

I think the current plan is for the doctor to do an X-RAY, realize Hev’s bones be hollow, and then Suffer. So maybe we can end on a dramatic moment where the doctor’s just like, “You’re not human.” and like does something Not Very Good.
Hev blinked. He had certainly never heard of a whimsy before today, but apparently they were all the rage. He needed to do more research when he returned home. “Uh, yes. That’s all.”

"Alright, we'll just do a quick X-ray... Could you place your arm on this table please?" The doctor adjusted his glasses and smiled at Hev.
Will stood by the door of the office, feeling absolutely useless. Oh well. He just had to escort this person out of the school, and then he could get back to class...
Hev sighed and followed the doctor’s instructions. He had never heard of an EX-RAY before. Perhaps it was an American thing too. He frowned as the doctor put a heavy apron on his chest.
He looked up at Will, mildly confused. Maybe he wouldn’t mind explaining strange American inventions.

Will caught Hev's glance. He looked between Hev and the doctor, then said, "Oh! An X-ray is just, like, a scan of your bones. It'll help the doctor figure out where and how bad the fracture is. X-rays basically use these super high-frequency waves and... um, you know what, I think that's too much information. It's painless, I swear!"
Hev hummed. Since when did America have the power to do that? And why did no one tell Britain?
The doctor looked at Hev curiously. “… do you not know what an X-Ray is?”
Hev shook his head. “No, I did. I was simply-“ He glanced at Will again. “-testing my student’s knowledge.”

Will nodded furiously. "Th-that's right! I need to prepare for my... um... weapons history test, and X-rays are an important part of... recovering from weapon injuries. Yeah?" Will smiled awkwardly and decided to stop talking.
The doctor shrugged. "Alright. Well, let's just take one real quick..."
