“mmgh… ‘m fine…”

Remy struggled to get up. He might need a little help.

"Hey- quit moving, you're gonna make things worse"

Emile went to go find the medical stuff Remy said he had

Remy sighed and obeyed. …And yet, when Emile came over with the medical supplies and began tending to his wounds, he couldn’t help curling up to him. He was touch starved, ok?

"How often does stuff like this happen?"

Emile kept tending to remys wounds while he spoke. He worked better with background noise

“about… I dunno… a couple times a year..? People keep hearing about some monster in the forest, so they just HAVE to go out and slay it…”

Remy rolled his eyes. This seemed more like an annoyance to him than an actual threat, at least in his eyes.

"But you're not a monster.."

Remy blinked, looking up at Emile. He blushed a bit, looking away. A soft smile was on his face.

“…thanks.”

Emile just nodded and finished patching Remy up

Remy wrapped a wing around Emile.

“…can you stay for a bit?”

Emile smiled a bit

"Sure"

Remy smiled and wrapped his arms around Emile.

“…I’ve been around for a while, y’know. I used to be a human too. But one day, this witch cursed me cuz I shared one of her secrets or whatever. To be fair, I didn’t know it was a secret, but like… she cursed me to live forever, but as a dragon. It kinda sucks, but oh well.”

"That does sound like it would suck"

“Yeah… but, oh well. I make do. I stay safe in here… and sometimes, nice people like you come along.”

"Well- I'll try to stick around as long as I can"
