Hiya there! I'm a baby member basically haha, so um, here' s the first chapter to a little project I plan on writing.

- Wakefield, Wyoming. 1941.

- Supernatural, slight mystery, sort of a dark comedy, and also slice of life/found family(??)

- Wakefield, Wyoming is a strange town, and Frank Williamson and his new housekeeper, Lucinda, might just be a bit stranger.

- Anything in particular that you want me to make note of:
-- Violence and/or Horror. Nothing crazy, but it gets a bit bloody.

-- I'd really love any comments about the characters, since they're the driving force of the story and the narrative is more focused on the people and relationships than some of the events going on (dont worry, those are still important, though.)
they/she or she/they

It had a perfectly round door like a porthole, painted green, with a shiny yellow brass knob in the exact middle. The door opened on to a tube-shaped hall like a tunnel: a very comfortable tunnel without smoke, with panelled walls, and floors tiled and carpeted, provided with polished chairs, and lots and lots of pegs for hats and coats—the hobbit was fond of visitors. The tunnel wound on and on, going fairly but not quite straight into the side of the hill —The Hill, as all the people for many miles round called it—and many little round doors opened out of it, first on one side and then on another.
