Young Writers Society

That's right guys and gals, YWS will have a brand new radio show on Sunday, July 11th! This show is going to be an open mic show, meaning you can call in and contribute what you like! At various points in the show, we'll also switch over to some awesome indie rock.

What can you contribute? You could read a poem or a piece of flash fiction, sing something you wrote, showcase your musical talents, etc. The choice is really up to you. All I ask is that you send me a PM sometime between now and July 11th just to let me know what you will be contributing. That way, we'll both know beforehand what to expect!

The show itself will last for 1 hour, although we can extend it if I get a lot of responses for the open mic stuff. Because of this, please send me a PM asap if you're interested in doing something. That way, we can fit everyone in without scheduling conflicts. Otherwise, I may have to turn some people away.

Very uncool. I'll be in Siena, Italy, and it'll be midnight, and I won't have my piano. This displeases me. I'll just have to listen to it afterwards, I suppose!

I'm not sure I can attend. I'll be all the way out in France (which you failed to put the timezone for >=o) I'll have to see. If I can't I shall definitely take a listen when I get the chance.

One thing that really bothers me is that I registered as a member in that website already but I don't know how do operate it. Do we need Skype for that?

Yuriiko -- It should work just by going to the site and pressing "play" when the time is right, no registration needed. As for calling in, I've used an ordinary phone for that –- but you can also use Skype.

Grinch -- You can listen to it here afterwards, there are also other old radio shows available.

The best thing is I was about to bemoan the fact it was on the same day as the World Cup Final, but luckily the show is on afterwards.

Plus, since my parents are away on holiday and I have literally nothing to do, I have no doubt I'll call in.
