Two big changes to announce to forums:

Storybooks
Dono (Buscador) originally proposed this some time ago along with Griffinkeeper. That is, the storybooks area now has its own section that you can find under Read / Write.

There are three Storybook categories in that section: Storybooks, Storybook Discussion, and Storybook Mechanics. This is to give greater emphasis to storybooks and hopefully boost activity there.

The Writer's Corner
The Writer's Corner has now been moved back to the Community section, which is where it used to be.

Third Possible Change: Novel Subforums
This last change is something I've been going back and forth on for a few months, so I'd appreciate some feedback on the idea. In order to better separate short stories and novels, it has been proposed to add sub-forums to each fiction category. The forum itself would have short stories while the sub-forum would be for novels (ex: Science-Fiction Forum and Science-Fiction Novel Forum). So, do you think it's a good idea?

I just looked over everything and it all looks great. Storybooks seems like a much more dynamic and important part of the site now! :D

I think it would be awesome if we added novel sub-forums.

Novel Subforums would be amazing. And I like the readjustments.

I think the success of the idea would just depend on how many short stories the bulk of YWSers would add to the forums, considering that most of the works you find are pretty much novel attempts.

Heh, until a year ago, I wouldn't have thought there'd be enough works for a novels forum.

Anyhow, it looks like the changes are having their intended effect. As Rosey said, the Writer's Corner is getting more attention, and I'm seeing more activity in Storybooks as well.

As astute YWSers have also realized, I added a "Market" category to the header. That should help organize the various shops somewhat.

Nice :D But about the sub-forum... it seems a bit sub. Maybe it'll take a while for users to get used to it, and new users. Also, kudos on the moving! :D You rock.

NewHero- I think that's the point. ;) Novels are best de-emphasized because short stories are better practice.
