Back in the day and when my free time was more ample, I sent out a monthly newsletter. I've been wanting to do this again, and I probably will this Sunday. Before I do so, I'd like to know what would get you to read it (please be honest!).

One thing I'd love to read would be articles by different members of YWS; that would be really cool. Obviously some writing tips would be great, perhaps alternating between poetry and prose and non-fiction, or something?

Ooh, and perhaps something like news in the literary world (new books out, writing conferences, etc) and then news in the world of YWS.
:)

I'm very please with the idea Nate. I'd like to read some featured posts and interesting comments/posts on Groups or Community areas. You could also advertise some "areas" of YWS that aren't that explored, like the Writing Gooder or the Entertainment Forum.
Just a few ideas.
I hope they'll help!

Best wishes

I'd read it no matter what really xD Just highlights of the site I guess. Maybe fantastic pieces that have been posted over the last little while?

In addition to what everyone else said, maybe the member of the month/featured member could be announced in the newsletter?

Member interviews and writing tips articles get my interest.

I could help with the newsletter. I've just recently
joined the staff of my school's letter and wouldn't mind
some extra work.
