Storybooks are free once again... kinda. It costs nothing to make a post in storybooks, although you're not going to get any points either. The cost of starting a new storybook has been dropped from 500 points to 100 points.


Why the Change?

Whenever one forum threatens to take over YWS, we implement a pay to post policy there. In that way, activity is redirected to other areas of the site; thus balancing everything out again. After a while, we drop the pay to post once it's clear things have settled down.

For those who remember, we did this with The Lounge and Randomness as well. At one time, those two forums threatened to take over the entire site, and then we made it such that you had to pay points to post there. After a year or so, we dropped it, and activity in those forums has been fairly normal ever since.

Not if I have anything to say about it! Storybooks shall reign supreme!

Awww, that's not fair . . . I put mine in like a day before the new policy was introduced so I had to pay the full 500. *begins to cry*

Sweet!! I noticed I wasn't being charged and it confused me. I've noticed that there aren't as many posts on it as there used to be.

Man, I remember when I first joined how storybooks used to be. Free and long lasting. We're past the half way point and sailing for home. Keep up the good work people
