Nate says...

Everything is all about the default users. They get the special treatments like the special headers, the cool gradient background, and, most notably, the ability to see if they have new messages without going to their inbox.

Then there are the Chimped Out Users. Their header has been the same for the past eight months. Their background is a dull grey. To check their messages? They have to slog their way through the muck to get to their inbox, and most of the time there isn't anything there!

So I am proud to preside over a new era, an era of equality, prosperity, and intelligenrity for on this day, December 24 on the Eve of Christmas itself, the Chimped Out users are no longer second class citizens. Yea ye users of the Chimped Out template for today you now get a little box telling ye of ye newe messages in thy inbox!

Rejoice ye default users and celebrate with ye Chimped Out brethren on this joyous occasion.
