Actually, I have no idea if it's better or improved as I have not played it yet, but check out the new YWS Chess at:

It's also available on the nav bar underneath the Home button (default & Chimp only).

To play, you do need to register a new account and there are a couple drawbacks in that you need to invite people to a game. But, supposedly (again I haven't been able to test it), you should be able to chat in game, and it runs in real-time too.

So, test it out!

It looks cool! I stumbled upon it by accident the other day, but there was no one to challenge, so I'm still waiting to actually try playing XD
