You're not alone Peanut. xD I hunted for a post I'd made to see them.

Aww. When they first came out, I had the Reviewer II badge, and now it's gone. But that's understandable, I suppose, since I never had five nominations in the first place. :P

Thanks, Nate! The badges look really cool.

First off, what are they? Pens?
Secondly, how does one achieve the Storybooker badge? I've seen this one the least, so I'm assuming it's the hardest.
Thirdly, how do I nominate someone for a badge?
That's all, and I'm pretty sure I don't have any badges, but I'm posting this just to see. XD

All the badges are achieved in the same way: through receiving five nominations for them. To nominate someone if you go to the community forum, it's a sub-forum under the information desk called nominations.

The storybooker badge is seen infrequently because there aren't a huge group of people who post in storybooks. That's a section of the site found in the mischellaneous area of the literary forum if you haven't visited there yet.

You get badges by being nominated! If you review well, greet well, or write in a storybook well, then other people will likely nominate you for being good at those skills. Once you have five nominations, the mod group looks it over, and if you're approved, you get the badge!

The nomination forum is a subforum of the Information Desk. Or, you can click the link in my signature.

Not right off the bat, no. You should be active in the welcome forum and reply to the posts of new members and try to make them feel welcome. But I wouldn't worry about getting a badge just yet. Here are the requirements.

Overall Guidelines
1. Helpful
2. Courteous
3. Kind
4. Good grammar

Guidelines for Greeter Badge
1. Greets new members on a constant basis
2. Is courteous and welcoming
3. Answers questions new members may have
4. Uses good grammar
5. Overall a good member

So yeah, just be nice and active. If you want some help learning to greet, you can look here:
