On YWS' last Reviewing Sunday, there were 537 reviews made in 24 hours (572 if you count Art/Photo). That was a site record, so the question is: can we beat it? Last time around, everyone had only a few hours notice. This time around, a week's notice. Will that make a difference? We shall see...

By the way, if you want to see the damage from last time, go here:

So what is a Reviewing Sunday? On the last Sunday of every month, YWS holds a reviewing day. This means:
  • No new literary works can be submitted (you can wait 24 hours!)
  • The Featured Works block on the front page is changed to a Last 5 Reviews block
  • You can earn up to 100 points per review instead of the normal 50
  • A check-in thread in the Lounge for letting everyone know how many reviews you've done

Also, the winner of the day as judged by the number of characters typed (not just the number of reviews) will receive a complimentary copy of the Young Writers Literary Journal.

Now, because the Earth is round and it tends to spin, not everyone has Sunday at the same time. So we're going to go by Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) and declare 12:01 am GMT to 11:59 pm GMT as the YWS Reviewing Sunday. Some international times for that are below:

United Kingdom: 1:01 am (Sunday) to 12:59 am (Monday)

United States & Canada
Atlantic: 9:01 pm (Saturday) to 8:59 pm (Sunday)
Eastern: 8:01 pm (Saturday) to 7:59 pm (Sunday)

Western: 6:01 pm (Saturday) to 5:59 pm (Sunday)
Pacific: 5:01 pm (Saturday) to 4:49 pm (Sunday)

New Zealand: 12:01 pm (Sunday) to 11:59 am (Monday)

Australia
Eastern: 10:01 am (Sunday) to 9:59 am (Monday)
Central: 9:31 am (Sunday) to 9:29 am (Monday)
Western: 8:01 am (Sunday) to 7:59 am (Monday)

Whoohoo! I'll do my best-- I dunno if I'll be home/near a computer at all on Sunday, since I might have to work, but Saturday I have off, so I'll do my best to help out that day. Sounds like fun! :D

Hey. People. You should review a lot on this Sunday because Jabberhut's and my birthday is the following day. I don't know about her, but I want to see YWS beat last Review Sunday's count for my birthday!

So, do you think you can do that? Do you think you can get 550 reviews this Sunday? For me? :)

Well, I'm gonna make both the attempt to make the most reviews, but also to thereby get my total number of posts over 1001. We'll see. That's a lot of reviews to write. I'm thinking I'll spend all weekend on this.

I haven't recovered from the last one. I'm going to go see the pool to see if it'll remotivate me.

I really need this...

Lately, I just haven't been reviewing like I should be... Hopefully, this will give me a kick up the backside and get me motivated to actually review some stuff. It did last time!
I didn't know what to put here so I put this.

Sweetness. ^_^ I will definitely be there if I'm not elsewhere (so smart, I am).

Also: What will happen with Art/Photography reviews this time around? If I remember correctly, they didn't count last time because there was enough reviews in the forum already. Will it be the same now?
