The phones shout,
And the headphones blare.
The keyboards moan,
And at their iPads they stare.
Their faces lit up,
As their laptops beep and ping.
A world that is "connecteted"
Withought anyone really connecting.

I walk through the halls,
Of the lifeless, monotonous school.
Texting and tweeting and typing!
In a world were social networking does rule.
I look at their faces,
And see no hopes or thoughts at all..
Just kids who are bored -
Sitting by the just as bored football.

I think about our society,
And the effort and genius it took.
While the girls in tight skirts,
Think about their new photo for facebook.

This is very good . It shows so very well how high schools are now a days just kids obbessed with soical networks...i really like this poem. keep on writing.

Your poem had a great flow and content. It is great because people are becoming addicted to these things and do not realize how dependent they have become. Sure I love my cell-phone and the Internet, but I also love the bark on the trees and the touch of raindrops. Many people of this world unfortunately, will never see the beauty of nature, aside from through a screen.
