Maybe I've lost my magic
grown beyond the friendship of a pen;
No, I just lost my way
but now I'm back again,
ready for your teachings.
And I'm back
to writing poems
in this beat-up book of words.

I love this part the most. I think the flow of your words are ok.
But take notice on this sentence,

to writing poems,

You should use root words after to though there is exceptional.
I don't know but I just love this poem. Keep writing

This is a nice poem, even though I get a little weary of poems about poems and writing (and believe me I'm a hypocrite when I say this, I've written a thousand). All the same, this ain't too shabby. I like the idea you have, of it being a friend, of being "lost" for a while. Overall it's pretty nice.

This is some neat poem you've got here. A great way to decide you're going to be writing again... by writing. I would've written more about why I stopped writing, it'd make the reader get to know you better and see how the life of a writer goes. xD

But you certainly did a great job.
