I found this poem when I was sorting my old files. It's a poem from my "Poem Book" from grade 1 or 2. ;)

I Want to be...


I want to be kind
But not so kind that everyone's mean
I want to be gentle
But not so gentle a feather is rough
I want to be loud
But not so loud that an organ is quiet
I want to be athletic
But not so athletic that wrestlers look weak
I want to be intelligent
But not so intelligent that my parents are smarter than me
I want to be beautiful
But not so beautiful that princesses are ugly
I want be gentle
I want to be kind
I want to be me


I'm not looking for major reviews, just wanted to share this :P I don't even remember writing this :P

That was awesome. I love reading peoples older works.
I can hardly believe that you made this in first or second grade though. I wasn't able to write at all at that age. :P

I liked the similies you used! Very intelligent for a 2nd or 1st grader sheesh, you may even be smarter than your own parents. ;) This is very cute though. I love the simplicity of it, and love how you wrapped it up ..as a 1st grader. :0 Pretty brilliant for such a young child.
