"The end of the world is nigh!
It's all so sudden, we don't know why...."
The t.v. screens shout out,
making everyone scream and shout.
I stand here listening and watching.
An observer in the mist; watching the people, the world in their reaction.
The panicking, the worry, the running and yelling.
It's all so troubling, so why even bother?
I sit here in the cafe, noticeably it's empty.
I look back out on the streets watching the people run and scurry.
I take another sip of my coffee, throw my jacket over the shoulder,
and head outside, the great wind blows across making it colder.
The road in front of me unravels and breaks.
The buildings shatter and oh the noise that it makes.
It's coming nearer to me; I stand in the middle.
Watching the end, straight in the eye.
No expression built on my face,
just waiting, watching, waiting....
It's all a hassle to think way to hard,
too deep, dark, depressing.
Just go on with life,
It was an honor to be here at all.
But the time has come,
and I accept it all. too. well.
Bye.
