Found Poem – Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man p. 79

Half Dublin was witless;
circling round the neighbouring square,
down sidestreets, a skeleton
map in his mind.
The customhouse passed unchallenged.
The docks, quays, corks that lay bobbing,
yellow scum.

The vastness and strangeness of life
suggested unrest and wandering.
Amid this bustling life,
a vague dissatisfaction continued
as he sought someone that eluded him.
"Literature is strewn with the wreckage of men who have minded beyond reason the opinions of others."
-Virginia Woolf

this sounded great, and i knew it had a clear theme but i couldn't pin-point more than just a vague feeling of cities, sewers and slight disgust.
Carpe Diem.

Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.
