Who is that girl over there,
The one who can laugh,
The one who can think,
The one who can say
"I'm good" and mean it,
The one who can get you to laugh,
The one who doesn't worry,
I wish to be her,
But it's so hard to fit into your expectations of me.

Watching the girl on the wire.

She dances and twirls

She leaps and swings.

Always keeping up with every turn I take.

Even as the years pass,

I always notice the girl on the wire

Moving in rhythm to every song in my heart.

But soon my mind is so focused on the past,

I no longer see her.

Even as she falls.

And soon I too,

Become a girl on the wire.

What is this

The shining light

To guide me home

When lost in night.

But it is day, yet i can't find

Happiness

I am lost in the maze

No bright light to shine down on me

I am forever alone in this daylight that lasts forever.

The frozen past forgotten

Ice glistens on dirty pavement
worn from a thousand years of mindless walking
you slip and slide but never fall
but never wonder why you were saved.
You never thought about all the times I caught you.
You never saw my frozen figure
always willing take the fall

Now the days are sunny
the dirty pavement replaced
but i'm still there
frozen and waiting
to die for you again

Smooth ridges leave behind an imprint of the sea
Healing my wounds from the traces of you
Every color erasing the pain
Leaving only peace behind
Letting me breath for the first time

I have my porcelain plate set in front of me
Years ago it was white and clean
But now it is gray and chipped



Damaged from everything you pile on it



You pile on more



And I gulp it up as fast as i can



Hoping it will make you love me



But you just pile on more



I clutch on to my plate



I keep it safe



Because it's all I have



But soon I drop it



And it falls to the floor shattered



You pile on more still



Not just my problems



But yours too



I take it in as much as I can



But you still judge me for every crumb left.

This isn't great but i wanted to try a few new methods for NaPo~
Doubt
She wanders every hallway
Waiting
Ready to trip all that pass her
All that want to prove
That they are enough
Doubt
She runs around your mind
Ready to strike
Ready to drag you to dust
Doubt
She sits on the throne of the future
Taking every chance from you
Before it's even come
But Doubt can lose control
Doubt can be ignored
Her reign ends today

white flakes swirling
falling to the ground
making everything a pure white
I wish it could cover my past
as it coverers me now
it will all melt tomorrow and the world won't remember
how I stood outside and for a minute
I felt like a child again
pure and innocent as the snow
icicles like frozen tears
crying for the future
the ground too frozen to bury myself
too soon it will thaw and I will wish to go back
to retrace the footprints tainting the white expanse
to cry these tears one more time
to see another smile
to yell again
to laugh again
but for now I let the cold engulf me
as the snow
falls
down

Pure and bright
Is it the first time we feel the weight of the world?
When is it we lose those laughs
Full and loud
Is it the first time we cry all alone?
When is it we loose that wonder
Searching and amazed
Is it the first time we are told we are wrong?
When do we loose our bright eyes
Happy and light
Is it the first time the darkness feels safer then the light?
When is it we loose our love
Never ending always forgiving
Is it the first time out hearts are broken?
When is it we lose that joy
Never ceasing
Is it the first time we lie about how we are?
When is it we loose those smiles?
It was the first time I realized you never loved me

I look into your eyes
And drink in your smile
And wish I could feel your touch
When I am down on my knees crying
And I lie awake at night
Dreaming of a world I can never touch
But I wake up and remember
That you are just one of the things I could never have
The things that I can't touch
That bring me hope in my hardest times
When I am alone
Down on the ground
I imagine you and somehow feel better
But though I see your face
To are a thousand worlds away from me
Something I could never really hold
I will live forever wishing you could hold my hand
Wishing that I could melt into a Hollywood romance
Wishing I was on the Disney channel,
Where everything works out and I didn't have to cry myself to sleep every night
To laugh with you, to talk with you as the sun drips down like the melting icecream in our hands
To listen to your favorite song
And sing off key
To watch horrible movies and love every minute because you were there
To cry in your arms
To wipe your tears
But that is all for a girl that isn't me
Because I was never deserving of your perfect love
