Hey - you've almost got an agent :).

Do you have any experience in writing screen plays?

Jennafina: Well, he still hasn't definately been accepted by Folio yet. And then, they're Literary Agents, so it'll be their job to sell Chionophobia to a publisher, and ensure Incan gets the best pay possible (although, for a first book, the advance won't be that large).
I wrote the above just for you.

You should talk to Ms. Becker about those kylosexual T-shirts I mentioned to you :-D

Best of luck, ha ha. I know you'll get it, and if not this one, surely someone else will pick it up.

See, Inc, I told you you were a god. (After the whole bagging the crap out of you thing) Who knew the faceless mouth of commercialism would have secretly cutivated the palate to know that, however. Genius, man, genius.

But you must be pretty disappointed about losing out on a rejection slip, though, eh? Maybe you could get her to send you one just for the mantlepiece or something.

I assume it won't go to your head? (I missed this - can't believe...)

Ha, that's really brilliant, Brad, despite my understated punctuation and lacking exclamation marks. It would make an obvious screenplay and film; for more than apparent reasons.

Good luck! ^_^

Updating...

Still waiting to hear back from Ms. Becker on the complete manuscript (probably another 5-7 weeks, I'd imagine).

In the meantime, I've heard back from the Laursen-Pomada Lit Agency (www.larsenpomada.com), and Laurie McLean has asked for the completed manuscript, Chionophobia, as well as the first ten pages of Prosthesis (since I've started bundling the two as part of my queries).

Still, I've not heard back from many of the agents, and I suspect that's their way of saying "Sorry, not interested." But oh well! Keep on keepin' on, right?

Or maybe because they haven't seen it yet?Query letters might possibly take a while. Still! It looks like soon I shall read Chionophobia in all its glory, which is good because I hate cliffhangers!!!

Away from the anythinggoes of commercial whoredom, into the breach of highpaid callgirlism of everyone throwing money at your genius.

Well, almost everyone, I'm still gonna shred you. Except for your shoulders. **strokes your shoulders**

Ms. Becker has accepted Chionophobia for representation. She is in the process of marketing it to several publishers, including Random House, DoubleDay, Forge, and various others. I'll keep you all updated on that.

What I really wanted to say with this post, though, was thank you all very, very much for your helpful responses to the story and to my attempts at publication.

My god, you're amazing! I can't wait for it to get published! As soon as it is, you can bet I'm going to buy a copy! Man! I demand you tell me the instant it hits the stores!

I'm so happy you're getting published! Just out of curiosity, did Ms. Becker have any questions on why it's called the Fear of Snow?

"The trouble with Borrowing another mind was, you always felt out of place when you got back to your own body, and Granny was the first person ever to read the mind of a building. Now she was feeling big and gritty and full of passages. 'Are you all right?' Granny nodded, and opened her windows. She extended her east and west wings and tried to concentrate on the tiny cup held in her pillars."
