In May 2011, the Young Writers Society had a record 4,967 reviews. But, May also was the fortunate recipient of two Review Days and also the month-long Review Teams experiment. Moreover, while the month-long Review Teams experiment ultimately petered out, it was initially a roaring success leading to 1,000+ reviews on the May Day Review Day. Given all that, I expected a large slump in reviews going into June as a lot of people would have review burn-out.

Well, I was wrong.

June 2011 didn't set any new records, but review activity still came in at 4,612 reviews! That's a slump but only a very small one. However, what did fall big time was the review ratio. With 1,478 new works posted in June, the review ratio came in at 3.12. That's below average for this year, but still not all that bad. Besides, I'm rather glad to see so many new works. YWS is here to promote creative writing after all.

Without further ado, here are the stats:

Where are all the Canadians coming from? I love it.
