Lately, I've been tinkering with the YWS favicon. The favicon is the icon you see when you load up a site in your browser. For some time now, the YWS favicon has been a stack of books, although many people had trouble discerning that.

In the end, I came up with two designs. Let me know which you like more!

Pop art for me! I think more people will like it, as there are more colors. :P

The blue icon means the first picture, right? I personally think it's neater than the confusing-ish red-blue-green-black one. :)

The blue one. It's the easier one to see - because the image is so small, the simplicity of it really helps. When the pop-art one is shrunk down, it's a bit harder to make out.

(Also, the blue one looks nicer too.)
I wrote the above just for you.

I like the blue one. Especially since you are redoing YWS to look more sophisticated (of course there are a ton of more reasons) in design then the blue one would go better.

Blue, for sure. No offense, but the colors on the other one are TERRIBLE. And at 16x16px, no one is going to be able to see what it is. From experience, simple is better when it comes to creating favicons. ;)

The blue one is less jarring/distracting at the end of the url.

I would have to say the blue one. I saw the icon switch to the blue one a couple of days ago, then to the pop art one today, and I definitely liked the blue one better. It was much easier to read and much neater. :)

I voted for the pop art one because I think it looks cooler, but I can see what other people are saying about it being really hard to see at a tiny form. So if I could, I'd change my vote to the blue.

I say the blue one, for clarity's sake. ^_^ But, would the letters be in white, like you have in this picture, or black, like they are right now in my browser?

I voted the blue as well for the same reasons as outlined by others but also when I first saw the pop art one, I was thinking YWSO? And maybe it's just because I'm not on the ball today but I think it's just a little confusing.
