Er...my work (out of those mentioned) have only been critiqued by Rosey. She can be a tad bit harsh but she is soo helpful! June has only reviewed my photos and didn't seem that harsh. Now she just might be ^_^

Everyone in these forums fears my name, I am so harsh. I critique with an iron fist and make writers' dreams shatter.

And June and Rosey are puppies.
How am I not myself?

Harsh people:

Snoink

JFW

Incandescence (Brad)

Prokaryote

Want a solid critique? Go to them. Brad mainly does Poetry, though, and Snoink left YWS, I think, for school.

Out of the ones you listed, I am undoubtedly the harshest! *puts on a mean face*

Wait, actually, I’m not sure if I am all that harsh… Rosey might be a little bit more brutally honest than I am :P. I know I’ve done about… three really mean ones today, haha.

You named a few people who have reviewed the most recently, but, as far as some of the older reviewers, I’m sure Jiggity and Squall belong on the brutally honest list. Also! A critique is only harsh if you want it to be :D. Sometimes, in correcting people I find it kind of hard to get my words onto the screen nicely.

Psh! Don't listen to Clo. She's a sweetie-- making me sound like a harmless puppy when I'm not... :P

I know -- truth be told, I'm like the gooshiest Instructor there is. I'm too nice.

Though I hold that I give great reviews, if not harsh. :P

Yes, very true. Clo is one of the sweetest instructors around.

And, also! Just to be a little harsh with this thread...

"Critiquer" is not actually a term; "Critique" is one of those trick words that can easily fool the mind into thinking you would add an r to make it nominative, dear. The proper word is critic.

Braaaad. He's very honest. And he doesn't beat around the bush. (Incandescence)
He's never critiqued my work though as I steer clear of the poetry forums.

Andy (squall) is another. If you get a review from him, usually he's the most brutal you would get from anyone bar one of the site moderators, who are honest and very knowledgeable.

Out of the original list, the only ones I know are Rosey and Spring, and though they are brilliant critics, I don't classify them as harsh.
>.< I don't think I'm harsh, am I? *prods reviews*

I dunno. They're all pretty equal... but I gotta say June and Rosey, so far. I've only found their critiques, but I've heard that Snoink is a bit harsh. And Nutty, I'd say you're more of the brutal type. I dunno if I could be considered harsh.

Oh, but did you really think so?

And as for how far this tale will go…
Well, even the cat doesn’t know.

I'm told that I give very harsh critiques, but I don't really believe.

I think it's just style. For example, Sam's critiques are super nice. I think that's because she focuses on one major mistake (and just has a super sweet voice.) Other critiquers will comment on tons of things. And when you see a million mistakes, it seems harsh.

Don't worry about harsh critiques. While I may think that a particular story in first person is awful, someone else may love it. It's all preference. We don't all like guy singers with high pitched voices, do we? No matter how you write you'll always have an audience. It's all about finding the largest audience, pleasing the most amount of people. And enjoying it yourself. :)

(And spring: neither is yewis, but we use it anyways. ;))

Kinda like "Book Writer" vs "Author" yeah? ;)

Personally, I call them Critters. The crit, they are critters.

Me? All I do is pounce on the boards day after day, tell you what needs to be fixed and help you fix it.

Okay, so maybe I am a bit harsh.

Anyways, those are just the active critics. The currently active critics. Squall should totally be on that list, as should LovableLittleSock, Kitty, Snoink and a whole host of others.
