When you go to post a news story, make sure you include:
- The author's name if available
- The news service that it comes from
- The date of the story
- A hyperlink (url) to the story on its original website

Do not copy and paste more than a third of a news story

If you have not heard yet, the Associated Press is cracking down on sites that excerpt its content. Unfortunately, there appears to be neither rhyme nor reason for their crackdown (they're going after excerpts as short as 100 words), but I'm making a change to the "In The News" section of YWS as a result.

In the future, all excerpts from news stories can be no longer than one-third, and preferably shorter. This is effective immediately, but is not retroactive.

I should infinitely prefer a book.
