Bookhabit have just launched a poetry competition. There's a youtube section for everyone keen to get their poem on camera. Free to enter. All ages, all categories.

There is a written section and a performance section with audio or video formats. The overall winner will receive US$1000. Other prizes too. See http://www.bookhabit.comfor full details.
There are 3 rounds:
Round 1 - Each week 50 poems are judged winners in each section and are chosen to go through to Round 2 over a period of 6 weeks (22 September – 2 November 2008).
Round 2 - 50 finalists in each section are chosen by registered Bookhabit users to go through to Round 3 (2 weeks)
Round 3 – Judging Panel selects overall winner, as well as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each section. Bookhabit users can also vote for their favourite presenter of the performance section.

I've moved this to the lounge. If you're going to use YWS as your free form of advertising (which I advise you don't, no matter how awesome Book Habit's contests may be) at least know where to post them. This is the second contest you've posted, and probably the second thread to be moved.

I think the link to the actual contest would be more helpful: http://www.bookhabit.com/competition/competition.php

To those looking at this: as far as I can tell the contest is legit!
