Do we get to beat the illiterate with sticks?

I jest. ;-)

I'm sure if the illiterate could read this they would be really angry. So people who can read get into an exclusive club and have a "day" all to themselves? What about the less fortunate that can't understand anything I just said, do they get a day? Of course not, cause they wouldn't be able to recognize it on a calendar. Why don't we all have inside jokes and make fun of them just because they don't know what we're saying. /rant

I haven't read anything lately in an actual book --nor have I found time to go to the library. *Glares at school*

Too bad there's not enough time to make stickers and shirts and everything. :(

*throws confetti anyway*

It's okay!

The illiterate will never know, just don't *say* it, just write it. ^^

Dangit, I meant to come screaming everywhere "Today is National Literacy Day! Read, you idiots!" But my bus came late--people were already starting to go to their homerooms-- and I was too chicken to do it at lunch. Maybe I'll go in tomorrow and yell "Yesterday was National Literacy Day! Did you read then? If you didn't, you're an idiot!" :P

I would never do that but it'd be a fun idea. :)

On a totally random note, Saint, you changed your username? That threw me off.

Anyhoo. I totally did wish a few people Happy International Literacy Day. I either got laughs or funny looks.
