To download Firefox 3.0, simply click on the "Firefox 3" button on the front page; it's right above the featured stories & poems.

So how does this help YWS? Honestly, not that much. But you see, I've signed YWS up in the affiliate program at: http://www.spreadfirefox.com

Over at Spread Firefox, they have a counter of the top referrers. The top 5 are in the thousands, but the bottom of the top 250 is only in the sixties. As of this morning, YWS had 35 referrals, so we only need 25 more to momentarily be one of the top 250. Cool, right?

So why should you use Firefox? Oh, how to count the ways...

Computer Randomly Shuts Down: Lets say your computer shuts down while you are in the midst of typing an e-mail or replying to a post. Firefox saves what you were typing.

Thousands of Add-ons: Adblock Plus blocks annoying ads everywhere, the weather toolbar displays your weather, and you can change how you want your Firefox to look with tons of themes. Only thing I ask is that if you get adblock plus, please turn it off for YWS :)

The Internet Runs Faster: For most sites, FF and IE run about the same. But if the site requires lots of Java; such as Flickr, Facebook, MySpace; the difference between FF and IE is astounding.

Bookmarking Is Easy: To bookmark a site in Firefox 3, you just click a little star in the address bar. That's it.

Searching Bookmarks and History is Easy: In the past, you had to remember the domain name to type it into the address bar. But now, you only have to remember the name of the site. For me, if I want to reach YWS, I just type writers into the address bar.

If you still don't want to download Firefox 3, read these:

That last one is a good one to check out for all Firefox users.

=O

It ate my Skype extension! *thwacks new Firefox*

But considering all the cool stuff it has now, and the awesome new look, I'm not so sad about the loss of my skype. I didn't use it any way.

"Most Visited" eh? I already know that that folder will be filled with YWS stuff and my school's main site stuff. Web surfer, I am not. :p

But yes. Awesome update. It looks so much cleaner.

I'm not too keen on it >____> the bookmarks-in-address-bar thing is annoying me no end and I haven't yet worked out how to make it go away. Once it has I'll be a happy bunny.
please grant me my small wish; (love me to the marrow of my bones)

So I update everything to Firefox 3.0, and what to my wondering eyes should appear? But my university server, saying, "We don't support this browser. We support Firefox 2.0. That's what we support. That's all we support."

Way to go, Nate. Your propaganda actually has me putting YWS above academia.

Ohhh, 194 now!

This new Firefox is not too bad. The 'awesome' address bar is not-so-awesome but other than that I think it's great.

Does Firefox replace Internet completely? What if I decide to go back to Internet? Also, does it keep all the addresses on my favorites?

Alright I did it. It's nice, but not much different from Internet Explorer. But quite sleek.

<3 Firefox ^_^ The only thing I'm not really a fan of is the bookmarks in the address bar... but I'm sure that'll work out eventually.
