Seven people have died and ten others have been injured after an unbalanced man went on a stabbing spree in a crowded Tokyo shopping district.
The perpetrator, twenty-five year-old factory worker Tomohiro Kato, was apprehended at the scene after passers-by raised the alarm.
Detectives are investigating whether the killer had released details of his murderous plan on the Internet.
