The Scouring of the Shire just brought it all together in the end. The Hobbits go out, are heros among the big people, learn a few new skills, come home and kick butt!! It just wraps everything up.

Personally, I liked the sieging in Two Towers...no reason, realy, I just liked it.

FYI, Tolkien may not have created the orc of Mythology, but he did create the orc of the current fantasy settings..
