Hello hello!

Are you interested in brushing up on your descriptive writing? Have you always wanted to try snazzier descriptions, but don't know where to start? This workshop might be write ;) for you!

The Selective Scribbling Workshop is a general writing workshop about deciding on what to describe. Prosers and poeters are all welcome! With some inspo taken from haiku, we will go into what goes into an effective description in general.

Please remember to bring a short piece of poetry, prose (fiction or non-fiction, up to you) that you would like to improve on. It should be a descriptive bit of text, meaning that it's mostly trying to paint a picture or set the mood, or show rather than tell the action. Some dialogue is fine, but we might not be able to make this work if the text you have is only dialogue. Try to limit the length to one paragraph or one stanza (or a short poem!).

Date (adjusts to your timezone!):

Expected duration: about 2 hours

Hope to see you there!

(The pad link will be posted here, as well as on the People's Tab.)
