Do you imagine the kind where the air has turned to smog and all the land is barren? Or the kind where everything is overgrown and most of it is poisonous? Or is it where the landscape has turned into some metallic wasteland of broken robots and machinery?
My dystopian future is either -when climate change reaches its peak -if we are overrun with robots/aliens/zombies -if we have to burn our books.. like Fahrenheit 451.. -if government basically can do everything it wants -basically, if a new WW happens (the lll then) -when we lose our creativity and start painting/writing uninpirational and genuinely morose stuff. Basically, if literature fades away -when the sun burns down ..
My biggest dystopian future would be a dying Earth. It can be argued that the planet is already dying from climate change, but I feel like a dystopian future would be a world that has been suffering from its effects even longer than our own.
But I definitely think the dystopian futures that @silvermoon17 listed would be pretty horrible, too.
