I've been wanting to trace my family tree for ages but I have no idea how to do it. I know nothing about my dads side of the family which is the one I'm trying to trace and I can't ask him for help because my mother ¬¬ hated my nan so I hate asking about her because I don't think he likes talking about her. Does anyone know any websites (free ones since I'm completly), computer programs or anything like that where I could start?
websites will all charge. I've tried it before. tracing a family history without using your family costs money.
