I'm admittedly not an expert on biology, but I thought I'd try my hand at this! I'd love to geek out about bio and help you out with your worldbuilding - even though I'm not entirely sure I'll be able to give you a clear, easy answer.

Here's what my background is:

    - Honors biology, AP biology, and AP Environmental Science in high school.
    - A biologist for a dad who taught me about nature growing up.
    - A love of nature and prehistoric documentaries.
    - Several college biology classes.

I'm better with ecology/nature than I am with small things like cell biology, but I'm currently finishing up my cell biology course as I write this post! I also have a textbook handy on me, so I should be able to look up more complicated information for things I'm not as certain about.

I always knew that deep down in every human heart, there is mercy and generosity. No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.
