*raises hand* I didn't. I wanted to throttle Bella and whats-his-face was not attractive to me at all (but I do seem to be in the minority on this one).

So, my recommendations ...
Freak the Mighty, by Rodman Philbrick (my all-time favorite book ever)
What Happened to Lani Garver, by Carol Plum-Ucci
Tithe, by Holly Black
The Vampire Lestat, by Anne Rice
The Tempest, by William Shakespeare

Neverwhere and Stardust by Niel Gaiman (+ everything else he's written)
Good Omens, by Niel Gaiman and Terry Pratchett
Howl's Moving Castle, by Dianna Wynne-Jones
Weetzie Bat, by Francesca Lia Block
Dead Girls Don't Write Letters, by Gail Giles (this one's not one of the best books I've ever read, but it's so weird that it makes great discussion fodder)

There are more, but the titles escape me and my books are currently all packed up in a giant suitcase. Yikes.
✖ I'm sick, you're tired. Let's dance.
