wow. see I came here because my booksie account was running slow and i would lose most of my work on there so i tried finding other sites that i could publish. Can anyone tell me about this site?

Hello there, welcome to YWS! Basically, we're a site where young writers can come and post their work for others to review and give them tips on how to make it better. However, you also have to post reviews and we have a 2:1 ration in that you need to review two people's work for every one you post.

Make sense so far? Then there's the other areas of the site, such as the storybook forum where writers create stories together just for the fun of it, and there's various usergroups and community forums where members can talk and just generally discuss interests and such.

I'll not overwhelm you with further details here but if you have any specific questions or would like a longer explanation, feel free to send me a private message =)

Let me re-elaborate the rules first:
~ Please keep your chatspeak and CAPS to a minimal, and write proper english.
~ For every 1 piece of work you post, you should review 2 pieces done by others.
~ Rate your works appropriately for their content. For example, sexual content should be rated 'R'.

Oh, and if you're wondering about our colours:
Blue - Greeters. The name says it all.
Purple - Instructors. They help you out with your work, reviews, writing tips on how to improve and practically everything under that category.
Light Green/Dark Green - Junior Mods & Moderators respectively. They help maintain the forums on YWS and make sure that we're all having good, clean fun.
Red - Administrators. The Moderators assist these awesome people. We have 3 admins: Nate (The Creator of YWS), Firestarter & Meshugenah.
Orange - Distinguished members. Retired Mods and Admins.

Yup, that's about it.

To publish one of your works, it costs 150 points. (But you get 50 back, so really only 100.) You can get points by reviewing other peoples work.
