Hey everyone, my name is Angela. ^_^ I'm a twenty two year old published author, trying to move up in the publishing world even further! But I'm always open to reveiws from my peers, so here I am, with peers, reveiwing. And being reveiwed, hopefully.

I have a plethoria of interests, writing being only one. I'm Christian but pretty laied back (I write yaoi, for goodness sake.) I'm easy going and docile, but once you get my temper up the claws and fangs poke out. I have horses, dogs, cats, goats and birds. I thrive off of caffine and am probably an addict. I love to roleplay, and table top Dungeons and Dragons on Sunday is my joy. I have a military boyfriend who I've been dating about a year now, and only four real friends in all the world. But they are the best friends ever. I love to laugh and joke, and I'll go as far as making myself look like an idiot to get laughter out of someone else.

I'm a big kid at heart. I love anime and manga, two of my favorite shows of all time are Danny Phantom and Avatar; The Last Airbender. I love video games, primarily RPGs and MMORPGs. You can find me on Perfect World, if you play; I'm on Sanctuary server. I'm a few charries on there. My main is Mildmaye, but I also can be found meandering under Dymytry, Seyonne, Alexzander, Seimei, Tambir, and Khistopher. If you play, look me up. ^_^

And that's mostly it, kiddies. Nice to meet all of you, and I hope you're nicer then the last writing forum I was on!

We have a couple of rules here at YWS:
The 2:1 ratio! You have to post two reviews before you post something of your own. People are more likely to review your work if you review their's.

Keep curse words where they belong, in Literature. And if you do put them in your writing, rate it R.

Prty Plz dnt tlk lik dis. Is vry anoyin. Ocassional brbs, or lols are okay, but don’t overuse them.

NO CAPS! WE HATE CAPS!!! WE HATE THEM!!! Even if you HATE something so badly, please do not use caps.

Try not to use many smilies. I know, it’s tempting with all the cool ones out there, but please limit them.

Here's a group that might be helpful to you. It's called Writer's Circle Academy Speaking of which, I should tell you a little about the user groups at YWS. *clears throat*

Then head on up to the little “Groups” Icon at the top of the page. Click it and search for a group with the interest that you have. If you find one, join it! If not, at the top of the page there’s a link to a forum where you can create a group. Have fun! There's a Anime/Manga group, I'm pretty sure, since you said you liked it.

Ahaha, I'm just kidding. They are the Moderators. The Juniors 'assist' them, like trainees/interns. The Mods do a more extensive maintainance of the site. In turn, they assist the Reds.

Haha, actually, we call them the Administrators/Admins.
We've got 3 of 'em:
Nate: The Creator of YWS! Yes, fear him. He is a scary Pat Buchanan(inside joke. You'll learn )-eating chimpy.
Firestarter: Contrary to popular belief, he does not spontaneously combust, nor is he a serial arsonist.
At least, I hope so.
Meshugenah: The kitten who lives in the beaker. She's a real friendly and awesome 'lady', so don't be afraid to approach her. Right, Mesh?

Hiya Angela! You're published already? *sigh* Definitely envious. It's just a really big dream for me, and quite a few other people here, I might say.

And, one thing Meep missed out on would be the orange colored usernames. They are Distinguished Members, who are mods who retired from service. They can be reinstated though.

Oh, and I write yaoi as well. I personally know three other people who are humongous yaoi fans. Roleplay is another big favorite of mine. If you enjoy to roleplay, then I'd suggest the storybooks. They can be found under the Literary forums in the Writing icon at the top of the page. They're basically roleplays, and quite a few of them are successful, as in they don't die out. You can meet a lot of people there.

Yeah, it's been my dream for years, and let me tell you; now that it's happened, it just doesn't seem real. Some days it's so nerve wracking and hard, and then others it's like floating along in a dream.

I have a second book in the process of it's first edit right now, soon to be sent off for approval (hopefully) to my editor.

Yay, another Avatar fan! *attaches and clings* Thanks. I loves me my Zuko. He's the entire reason I started watching the show. I have a thing for scarred, emotionally battered villans-turned- anti-heros-turned-protagonists. Or emotionally battered, scarred anti-heros in general.

Awsome. That's a lot of names and people to remember, haha. But I think I can handle it. Thanks much for the run through and the greeting. ^__^ Nice to meet you all and I think I'm gonna like you guys. ^^


And WaterVyper, if you like to write yaoi.....when you think you've got something ready to try and get published, go to www.dreamspinnerpress.com, they specalize in novels, anthologies, short stories and e-books with gay protagonists. NOT PORN. In fact, they specifically point that out. But the main 'couple' should be gay.

Don't be enviouse, though. *blush* The hard work doesn't stop when you get published; that's when it starts. Promoting is hard work, and the editing process is an absolute nerve killer. Then you just pray that your book sells, and people like it.

It's fun, but hard.

I shall certianly check out the storybook area- that's already caught my attention. Heh. Look interesting, thanks for the prod. Also thanks for the further info.

Darn published writers... Its nice to see that you found YWS and this is definately one of the better writing forums, I mean, I use it of course. If you have any questions, or are ever in need of a review, feel free to PM me. Its what I'm here for. Good luck with your writing!
