Hi! I am tinkerballs. I am (trying to) wirte a story/novel/book, not doing so well at the mo.
Hopefully everyone here is nice and we will get along ok

Hiya and welcome!!
We are all very nice and we will get along perfectly! (guaranteed )

To start you off on YWS, we have a few rules you need to follow.

1) No CAPS or chat speak. IT'S REALLY ANNOYING and pple dnt lke it wen u do it. And we are all writers, so we should use proper grammar and spellling etc... You can use simple ones like lol, brb, and ttyl though. (But we wish you would just write it out.

2)We have a 2:1 ratio here on YWS. That means that every time you post a story, poem, etc, you need to have 2 reviews. That way, people will want to review your work, and it's a great way to make friends.

3) We prefer that you rate your works in the Writing area. If your stories or poems have swear words like the F word, sexual, or graphic scenes, we'd like you to rate it 'R'.

Well, those are the rules. Just stick to them and all will be well.

As for what I like to read... low-fantasy (is there such a genre? If there is high-fantasy surely there is low-fantasy? Or maybe it is called something else and I don't know what it is called). Sometimes high-fantasy too.

Welcome, Tinker! Do you mind if I call you that? Welcome to the realm of insanity, YWS! A lot of us are trying to write a story/novel/book, and that's why we're here! To help each other. Before you start posting, however, I have to go over the rules.

1. Keep the 2:1 review ratio. That means that you have to review two works before posting your own.

2. Use proper grammar, spelling, and capitalization. We're on a writer's website, so this is common courtesy. So please, capitalize those 'i's, and get rid of chatspeak.

Those are two of the more famous rules. There are more of them, but they're easy to follow. Now that the rules are out of the way... interrogation!

Who are your favorite writers?
What are your favorite books?
What do you like to write?
What are your other hobbies?
What are your tastes in music? Movies?
What do you want to accomplish later in life?
Anything else you want to add?

Anyway, I would check out the groups at the top... there are a lot of different ones and I'm sure you'll like some of them! My favorites are Debate, Character Development, Character Tea Party, and The Novelists. I know you'll want to join something

Well, if you want some advises for your novel, you can post it on the the Fantasy Fiction section and you'll get constructive reviews that will help you edit and improve your work. So stick to the rules, and have fun!
