Hello fellow writers!
My pen name is A. Aisling, and I'm finally bored enough to give into my narcissistic desires.

~The 411:
I'm currently being home schooled, although I attend a band class at the local HS (I play oboe and trumpet.) I love acupuncture and homeopathy, and plan to be a doctor of some sort. My older sister is a psychologist, which makes for great conversations.
I'm the sort of loon who sings a little song at sunset and meditates daily. I almost got hit by a car while trying to save a porcupine. My family can tell how stressed I am based on how many sticks of incense I'm burning. I consider myself spiritual, but not 'religious'.
I wear a necklace with the kanji symbol for spirit everyday.

I love people, and I'm a hopeless romantic, yet I have a hard time with friends in the real world.
I'm usually timid, and sometimes cowardly. However, I'm very sensitive to my environment, so in some situations I'll be the most extroverted person in the room.

My personal philosophies are very important to me and I use music and writing to explore my dreams.
Favorite words: transcend, wonderment, celestial...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I believe life is a temporary state in which we perceive our existence as merely a set of dilemmas with an ultimately known outcome (being death.)
I believe death is simply what will come, and we need not fret about it now.
I believe society, in its current state, is broken, although not beyond repair.
I believe a government should support its people, not shoot them in the foot.
And I believe education is something that the population of the USA has lost interest in. Generations ‘x’ and ‘y’ were given so many opportunities and rights that they lost the motivation to put in effort. In my opinion, the overabundance of resources combined with human nature is worse than any shortage or famine. The day young Americans stop taking their education for granted and discover that knowledge is power is the day that western civilization will choose not to ‘go gentle into that good night’ (Dylan Thomas.)
"Recently I have become aware of these feelings.
It's as if another world is tugging at my thoughts.
Overwhelming memories and nostalgia have devoured my mind for many days.
Certain places invoke this sickening awareness.
There is so much there, just beyond the barrier of reality.
My only question is, how do I get to this place?
Through art, music, writing?
I sometimes get so close, and the more I yearn for it, the more elusive it seems.
The answer escapes, but my cognition is entirely consumed.
All it takes is one song, one smell.
I'm convinced the quest for it is a life long venture.
It's gotten to the point where this awareness resembles a drug. The addiction is obscene.
Concentration is a hardship, and isolation is my new hobby."
I'm back!
What kind of doctor? I want to be a doctor too, so I'm just curious...
I'm not sure if I want to go into Western or Eastern medicine.
XD
As far as western med goes, I'm considering specializing in neurology, pathology or genetic disorders. :D
If I wanted to be an naturopath I would address all aspects of health including mental.
